Default IS PHP is faster than other languages
I wanna to know that is PHP is faster than other languages..your suggestion and reply is appreciated.

PHP is a open source and it is quite faster than others its true. because it supports to Sql database.

* ** A basic PHP script can be created without a firm understanding of programming principals, compilation, and other currently important programming concepts
o PHP is loosely typed, which makes basic scripts much faster to develop with less attention to design
* Programmers of Java, PERL, BASIC, and other popular languages can find many parallels to ease transition to PHP
* PHP is flexible. Use OOP or not. Use naming convention(s) or not
* It runs on many different operating systems
* It can be optimized, even "compiled" for performance closer to that of more established compiled languages

PHP is (in my opinion) more pleasant to use. It does have strange warts (, and it is very difficult to write secure code in PHP witness the number of security problems in, say, Squirrel Mail over the last few years -- Squirrel Mail is a webmail package written in PHP.

It all depends upon programming skills, cgi-php scripts are good for dynamic programming

Yes, PHP is fast compared to other languages, but most of the site speed depend upon the proper coding and database queries. Also we can improve site speed by implementing Ajax in it.
